Hi! I'm Steff, aka SLWalker, aka site-founder and half-owner. If you've never been to Ad Astra before, we started in January of 2009 on eFiction. Now, thanks to a few weeks of losing my mind learning a lot (and leaning into the absolutely invaluable help of Walter from SquidgeWorld and lassarina for the Ruby on Rails troubleshooting), I do believe I've mostly got otw-archive running correctly. Which means Ad Astra's only a couple steps away, as a fanfiction archive, from joining the 2020s in terms of software!
Some quick notes: YES, you can sign up. If the e-mail with your validation fails, please let me know so I can work out what went wrong and get you set up. Or hit me up on any venue and let me know and I can activate you from the back end until it's sorted. ETA: A quick work-around for now is to just click on the link. It'll say something like adastrafanfic.com/[your activation link], but error out. Just add beta.adastrafanfic.com/[your activation link] and that should work.
I am asking right now for people to go slow on posting! Don't try to import your whole catalogue of Trek fanworks in a day, we would love the chance to read them and that's easier when there's not a flood! And especially, respect Ad Astra's tagging and posting rules, which can be found here. That's a big one. The tagging rules might seem kind of hardline, but they've been in place for fourteen years for a reason.
