  1. I like how patient Trujillo is with Naifeh. Like-- I like that she takes a moment there to teach why she's doing what she's doing. I have a thing for captains who take mentoring seriously, so I really appreciated that little character beat.

A distant kind of weariness had taken its place. Oof. I hear ya, though, Captain.

“Coordinate assistance with Albacore’s repair efforts and find me some prisoners to interrogate, Commander. I’ll be in my ready room.” That comes out so cool that it's like-- that isn't even a threat, it's just a statement of fact and somehow that's even MORE intimidating.

This Giilva sounds not a little bit terrifying. o.O 'Delightful' indeed.

“Commander, each of those men is no doubt responsible for the deaths or enslavement of countless Federation citizens. I want the last thing they feel to be a Klingon boot on their throats after a soul-crushing decade of mining dilithium by hand.” Whew, damn. HARD woman, but I love that. It's sharp and also makes perfect sense. Great stuff, Sam!

    1. I'm so glad you're enjoying Trujillo and her crew! She's a woman with a lot of facets, but she can be hard and uncompromising when it comes to her duties.
