Comment on Warnings Unheeded in Darkest Night

  1. Oh, I love Rachel Garrett here! I always wanted to see more of her in canon, and I love how she's already absolutely willing to speak her mind, even as an ensign to a captain with a fearsome reputation. The way the issue comes up and is resolved is so believable, and I like the way they talk through it and look for a resolution.

Also, I'm a real sucker for everything that establishes relationships between captains, and involves grumbling about fleet politics. That opening is a delight.

    1. Thanks for commenting! Yes, there's a good bit of Fleet politics here (and more to come in subsequent stories). Rachel Garrett was a fun addition to the crew, though she initially might argue that with me. ;-) And yes, even as a shiny new ensign, she's got the guts to stand toe-to-toe with Captain Trujillo and make her feelings known.
