Comment on Warnings Unheeded in Darkest Night

  1. Chris with noise-cancelling headphones and a pen in his hand, sitting behind a laptop with a bunch of Star Trek and NaNoWriMo stickers on its lid

I like all the little hints you slip into the dialogue as to what has transpired between characters in the past. Makes one wonder about their history and if it will be explored any further in future works.

And I always like seeing familiar names, like Demora Sulu and Rachel Garrett, of whom we haven't seen much. The exchange between Garrett and Trujillo really spoke to me - it always bugs me when someone gets non-consensually shanghaied away from their assigned duties when they had their perfectly legitimate reasons for requesting them.

    1. I'm glad you're enjoying the tale. I really liked having the opportunity to include Ensign Garrett on her first assignment out of the academy, even if it's not precisely what she'd hoped for. The young woman certainly doesn't have any difficulty standing up for herself! :D
