I've always held in my heart that Enterprise was a character unto herself in the original series, especially when you consider the love from Kirk and Scotty. I know you're not a big fan of Relics, but there was that scene when he gets wistful and melancholy as he and Picard are sitting on the holographic representation of the NCC-1701 bridge, and he speaks about his "old girlfriend." That scene came to mind in context of what you've written here. I love this so much, Steff!
Oh, no doubt that whole scene on the bridge of the 1701 -- no bloody a, b, c or d -- was heartaching. Most of my feelings about Relics have to do with psychology, the application of and, of course, my absolute devotion to Scotty. LOL! My twelve-year-old self had Major Opinions about that episode. XD
Thank you. <3 He's only twenty-three here, with a whole life ahead of him, and I've never stopped loving the image of him wide-eyed awe looking up at the ship that would become part of his home.
