They still do the whole five year mission thing? Cool. But this time, sounds like we get a whole flotilla of ships. That’s an interesting concept. Why have one ship if you can follow three. Sign me up.
Part of that is the influence of Nakamura Enterprises, presenting Star Fleet with a super-advanced ship for exploration - but one that would need some protection.
The crew complement of each ship: U.S.S. Mako - 141; U.S.S. Beagle - 118; U.S.S. Escort - 47. So combined, they have fewer crew than the original series Enterprise and combined represent a smaller investment than a single Galaxy Class cruiser.
