Thank you! In all the flashback scenes, she has long hair, but she always has short hair in the series' current time. And on a doylistic level, that's an easy way to visually differentiate the time periods, I get it. But on a watsonian level, it begs the question: why did Kira keep long hair--requiring lots of maintenance--all through her time living in labor camps and in caves as a resistance fighter? And then once I figured out an answer, I had to write it.
