Comment on Slings and Olive Branches

  1. Alright, you’ve talked me into it. Starship Reykjavik, part one. And I immediately fall in love with Captain Trujillo, who is my kind of badass.

Appreciate the look into the politics. The Klingons, being held up by the Federation, in some decline. Piracy, corruption. The Federation, following the money.

And Captain Trujillo, sitting there delivering a very unwelcome message, but absolutely getting it across. With threats and strength, yes, but also, as necessary for dealing with his kind of corruption, and logic of ‘and here is where you benefit.’

Very much laughed and the interaction back in the transporter room. I think Glal might be a bit of a hothead. (But oh, I can see that love for his Captain.) Also appreciate her steely-eyes bravery, especially learning she really did think she might die.

What a fantastic introduction to these characters and their time. Looking forward to the ride.

Yes, Trujillo and Glal are a combustible pair, but they get the job done.

Thank you for reading and for your terrific feedback!
