Comment on Five Hundred Pound Heart

  1. I was a fan of Hemmer and his dry wit, and was sad to see him go. It didn’t occur to me until recently to put him in the room with Scotty, but it works in an interesting way. Hemmer has interesting insight. I suspect that the assignment as roommates was intentional, possibly for a variety of reasons that their superior officers may not even be able to fully explain.

Young Scotty—troubled and troublesome, not always thinking with his brilliant brain, with burdens that aren’t kind to carry. But also with a fundamental good cheer and a twinkle in his eye.

I’ve been trying to find my way into the Constitution, and grabbing a bunch of these challenges might just be the way into the bigger story.

    So delighted you enjoyed. 😁
