Comment on An Idiot's Guide to Gunboat Diplomacy

  1. Lagging some today, but only because I've been hammered. LOL!

I can definitely see both Trujillo's point and Markopoulos's there, re: dealing with the Klingons. I get the feeling not all may be as it seems, but you can really see how their different stations and inclinations inform their opinions on it. Trujillo a warrior captain; Markopoulos having to think about a very large and complicated picture. Not that she can't, mind, but he would have better intel.

Oooh, there appears to be some interesting backstory re: Trujillo I haven't seen yet. -rubs hands together- Love Saavik showing faith in her, though. And I think she'll acquit herself well.

The exchange about Professor Markopoulos and him saying he never inferred he'd be starting one-- *chef's kiss*

That elicited a snort from the older officer. “Oh, very good sir. Very subtle. May I presume Task Force Death Orgy was already taken?” I just startled one of my cats, I laughed so loud.

Like that description of that trading outpost. You manage to convey a lot in a relatively short space with it. OMG, tho, Jarrod working through to get the information about the owner of that bat'leth? Clever. XD A lead, maybe?

But oooooof, then he gets hit with it. Sheesh. I shoulda seen that coming, but I didn't. Damn, that was one breathless ending of a chapter!

    1. Thank you again for your feedback! Yes, the 'Death Orgy' is one of my most favorite Glal lines, it so completely sums up his sense of humor. The fight in the blade shop (is there a worse place to get into a brawl?) started and ended quickly, but it's aftereffects will be felt for some time.
