A well-deserved little love sequence between two very much manga characters. And reads like something out of manga (an art form I enjoy).
And a rare use of the lirpa, a weapon not seen often outside of vulcan ritual. I'll definitely have to borrow that (only with a vulcan wielding it for very logical reasons...)
Manga, eh? I like some manga. Not sure if it was an inspiration for this particular story, but I can see some parallels. Should get somebody to illustrate it, perhaps. And yeah, agreed, the lipra has been criminally underused. I've read somewhere that the batleth sword, which in my opinion is one of the coolest sci-fi weapons ever, would actually make for a terrible real-life sword. I'm sure the lipra wouldn't be that much worse.
