Oh wow this is really good! I love the characterization, and the whole discussion feels like it could be lifted right out of an episode. Deanna is so careful with Data, not patronizing, but thoughtful and helping him reason through such a hard situation. I love her insights, and seeing Data try to find his way to coming to terms with the really awful things that were done to him (and others) in Descent.
Thank you! The episode has such a lot packed into it, and there were so many things that could have been explored for how Data and Geordi and the rest of the crew handled things that were just never touched on again, even when he turned on the emotion chip in the movie.
