    Well, that escalated quickly!

    We get a nice intro to the Captain/Commodore, and then her amorous festivities are interrupted by attacking gunships!

    I love the snappy banter between the characters, and it's clear some of these folks have been working together for some time. Also, a Deltan officer in command, you don't see that terribly often in Trek-fic, even the fanfic variety. Nice choice! I'm eager to learn more about their exotic and mysterious culture.

    So, will Chandra henceforth be known as 'Captain-No-Pants?' ;-)

      That is a distinct possibility for her nickname.

      I was really looking for something different for my main character. We’ll find out that she has a few things different than a lot of Deltans, as well, based on her past, along with the rest of her group, before she took command.

      There’s a lot of water under the bridge for many of these characters, as we’ll see. Lots of interconnections, both with each other and with canon.

      I’m glad it moved quickly. Was a little concerned the choice for exposition for the first chapter might’ve been off, but I try to move things quickly.
