Oh, poor Hawthorne. For as much as he's a paranoid pain-in-the-ass, fate's given him plenty of reason to be. Now the TE is going to mess with his implants and re-traumatize him all over again. Chester's playing mental 3D chess against her MU-version, weighing her value to the admiral against the costs of cooperation. I'm hoping Hawthorne can hold out until Chester puts together a workable plan of escape, if such a thing is possible in this scenario.
Yeah Hawthorne is a nightmare to work with in all ways but that he's actually pretty good at his job. The last thing he needs is more reason for paranoia. And while Chester is good with people, this is very much a double edged sword in the current circumstances... not that Hawthorne would trust her to negotiate her way out of a paper bag right now.
