   Interesting, so that’s what Spike was up to. Very practical to have all your tech self destroy. If they’d had this tech a century earlier, we’d never would’ve gotten that gangster planet.

   Also, quite the jarring transition in this scene. You'd think I’d be used to this kinda stuff by now.

      It would make sense, after a few stray tricorders and phasers threatened promising civilizations in their natural development, that StarFleet (et.al.) would adjust to such situations with special equipment for such forays...
