    Lovely ceremony for their dead. Remembering to call out what they fought and died for was so powerful and an important part.

    And then the wake. The dynamics among them all are so well written, as two captains reflect on their battles, as well as their crews.

    And their XOs are looking out for them, though one is less experienced.

    ‘Birkenstocks and bat’leths.’ I LOL’d.

      The future Starfleeters are horrified that so many died, and the present-day 'Fleeters are amazed so many lived. Remembering the fallen is all they can do moving forward, as present-day DTI would try to assure them that the future Bedivere came from may not be *the* future in store for their timeline, though everyone involved knows damned well that it is.
