Comment on Law v. Order

  1. Mariner and T'Lyn looking at Tricorder. Mariner looks hopeless, is frowning.

Speaking of stories I don't think I've read before, this is awesome! (Would've commented yesterday but I fell asleep instead).

The tension between La'an and Marie is excellent. I like that La'an goes to pick a fight, only to find her opponent isn't even taking her own side. Marie really sells the reality of being attorney here, the seperation of personal opinion from her duty despite her conflicting feelings is poignant. The hopelessness she feels that gets to me too.

Pasalk.... I hate the man. He is vicious, while hiding behind a wall of "logic". You have captured his essence beautifully, I want to punch him.

Marie stepping in to protect La'an is so sweet, despite not even knowing La'an that well herself.

And La'an being so open about her feelings, just to try and help Una. It's just so lovely but heartbreaking to read, especially the "she's my home" bit.

This is brilliant and it's tragic I missed it when you originally posted it. <3

So AO3 tells me I've read this before. I still love it :P

    2. The thing I love about La'an is how put together she is ... until she isn't. So yes, she was looking for a fight, but also, wasn't sure what exactly it was she was looking for. She's the best mess.

Pasalk is definitely evil - of course he is, he's an Admiral ... *eyeroll*

Thank you for your second comment :P

to be fair, this one is one of my "older" stories, so I'm not surprised you didn't' remember reading it the first time, haha.

She is such a mess, particularly when Una isn't around.
Ha! Of course, I kinda forgot that detail. It's weird how admirals there are, no wonder they do things like run court, otherwise they'd have nothing to do, except micromanage captains.

        You're more than welcome <3

I should really check these things. But the benefit of a bad memory is getting to read cool things for the first time again lol.
