  1. Mariner and T'Lyn looking at Tricorder. Mariner looks hopeless, is frowning.

Just so you know, there's a tag for the weekly challenges. I tagged mine with it and its mentioned in the original brief.

    But, onto the story!
I really like that Seven considers how she speaks to Noami and give her the best chance at answering in a clear manner. Their relationship is so cute, and I just love the high regard they both hold each other to.

Naomi's mum being the sole reason Seven and Noami can't eat an entire cake between them is funny. The idea of possible food rations being a reason behind it is also cool. But also cake is life. I love that they share it.

The second part is equally great. Seven always calling Naomi when she in range is so sweet. They spent so long as each others only close-in-maturity friend, it makes sense, but I wish we got to see it more on screen.
The automatic refusal is funny tho. Twenty-one is old enough to leave for a bit. But I like that Seven cares enough to see Noami to make her tell her mother before she leaves.

This has really captured the weirdness of suddenly being in a separate life category to a friend who was once your equal. It's fun to watch Seven try and navigate treating Noami with respect but also helping her make sensible decisions.

    I adore this! <3

    1. Oh, thanks for the info! I went back and added it.

I really love Seven and Naomi’s relationship, how Seven always treats Naomi as an equal, how they learn to be people together but also from each other.

I always imagine that Naomi is one of the few connections Seven really went out of her way to keep, even as they grew up in different ways and their relationship shifted over the years because of it. It would eventually reach a point where Seven felt more protective of Naomi, more like a big sister, and she would absolutely be like “No, you can’t come do this dangerous thing I do, I don’t care how grown you think you are.”
