There's nothing quite like listening in on a pair of aliens wondering about those odd humans and their strange peculiarities. "A very dark pink. The humans call it black." That's a winner, right there. It only recently occurred to me that since color only really exists in our perception, different races are likely perceiving color very differently than humans do. Especially considering that even humans can't agree if a dress is blue or white.
One of my dad's most popular courses was "Sociology through Science Fiction." It creates a POV from which we can explore humanity. Glad you enjoyed this scene - and thanks for the kind words! rbs
