I gotta say i'm not liking this schmidt person. They seem to relish in taking Maren down a peg. Like arrogance isn't a good thing but the way he seems to be wanting her to fail isn't nice at all, the smug little man! (This is a fitting characteristic for someone who puts all the graduates through their paces tho.)
It's an interesting idea, using Icheb as to bring her down. I'm excited to see them interact in fic! :)
