Ok, just putting it out there - but maybe given the correlation of things going boom and Chandra in a bar, I think she should stay away from them in the future. That said, I like the interaction here with Chandra and Decker, as Decker gets a scolding of sorts to fix her head and mindset to be ready for the fight ahead. Of course, there now appears to be a more literal fight in their immediate future to contend with. Well I mean, it is a B_Radley instalment. Something has to up the ante.
Meanwhile, we have plenty of other developments as players face justice or other ultimate consequences - or reckonings - for their part. Answers remain elusive, and people are getting very good at eliminating loose ends. But another consequence comes in the form of Saavik getting her pips as Captain, it is a moment of cheer and then hearing the ship class and name just brings a heady smile knowing how much this is surely paving towards future Saavik content. Of which I am looking forwards to immensely.
I think that is a great suggestion for Chandra. For all of them. One that I don’t think that they’ll heed.
Chandra is proud of Decker. She may recognize in her, traits that she has seen in others, including herself. Not all of those traits are necessarily the most positive, but she recognizes them as part of Decker and part of her growth.
Yep! Getting ready for a fight that will take up the next series/book.
Yeah, these entities are good at loose ends, even though they may not have official standing any more for their sanctions.
And thus begins a parallel plot and character story for our heroes. But, Saavik’ll have to get through the maelstrom of the next book as well!
