   In the original series version the story of Magna Roma ended with Uhura explaining that the Sun Worshippers were actually Son Worshippers. I'm assuming Helvia's lost religion is from this Christianity-coded group. The 1st Century origins of Christianity in the Roman Empire are quite murky as must of the documentation, including the scriptures themselves and the original letters of Paul were destroyed - largely deliberately. This alternative history of religion is very interesting.
