Comment on Esprit de Corps

  1. A great introduction to Brigid and the Marines of Starfleet. You give her story a great amount of power, with outlining her reasons for joining.

She has a great mentor in Hardesty, one who will look out for her, not because he doesn’t think she can’t look out for herself, but because that’s what SNCOs do. He also expects great things from her, giving her that gift.

And then the Klingons. She did do her best to stay out of trouble, but trouble came calling.

    Looking forward to more!

    Well done, and thank you!

Thank you for reading, Boo. Admittedly, the opening framework is pretty close to the series I'm borrowing the premise, so I can't take too much credit other than it being my interpretation.

I've had quite a few friends who're vets in various branches of the military (Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard) and there seems to be a constant surrounding senior NCOs. If any one of them likes you, that's a huge step up. Also, with Hardester, if you've read The Corps, then he's my Jack NMI Stecker, so his involvement in the story shall be more than just showing up here in the first arc.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the story!
