    This is a beautiful, thoughtful comment, and I’ve been thinking about how to do it justice in my reply.

    You have so nailed what I was trying to say in this piece. She is grieving, but thinking if what she is doing is right. It is still going through her mind a year or so later, especially as Decker gets closer with the family, as well, especially Kit.

    Connections are very important to her, and they will help her recover. And she has probably been tempted to hunker down, but that isn’t her.

    She just might want to forget though, losing herself in this experience.
