    The phaser pulse rifles are my nod to the Aliens Colonial Marines. And you’ll see that some of the Border Dogs you wouldn’t think are qualified with them, such as a certain Phd Senior Yeoman.

    Yep. Jaiggur’s gonna Jaiggur, and probably remind everyone of it (though he’s remarkably humble about it).

    Chandra is watching and waiting. She isn’t too sure that she’s going to be able to hold Merlin, so she’s banking on something. Mainly a sorta-ex with authority and commitment issues, who can pull some creativity from a dark place.

    I love how intuitive Saavik is, despite not knowing The Plan, she knows that something is up. And she will have to make the calls, showing that Starfleet’s faith in her, promoting her to captain, is well justified.

    And you put it so well, describing Saavik.
