    Love how you set this up. Sandhurst looks to be another great character, with responsibilities he never wanted thrust upon him. It’s a great indicator on how Starfleet is reeling after the war.

      Yes, Sandhurst would never have become a captain if not for the war and its horrendous losses. Now he'll have to do his best to shepherd his crew through the 'peace' that follows.
