A truly advanced future would have both genders curiously exploring the changes and ultimately deciding to change back, just because they prefer their old bodies. But Star Trek is baked in misogyny so that was NOT gonna happen here XD
(In the truly advanced future, there would probably be a few eggs who decided not to switch back, but I like to imagine trans folk would be transitioned young. Then again gender isn't always linear, and someone might go back and forth over time. Unless a biological cause for transgenderism is discovered, and then the whole process might be simplified)
