Comment on The Drowned Girl

  1. Oh, that was just wonderful! Kestra Troi as a hungry ghost haunting her sister's family until she gets her prize is such a deliciously dark concept. The recurring drowning imagery was great - it kept reinforcing the impossibility of escape, and it was a great way to build suspense even though the reader comes in knowing Thad's ultimate fate.

She knows this taste because Thad knows this taste. He transmitted it to her when he was still in the womb.

    Amniotic fluid.

On a reread, though, I think this one, the first, is my favorite. It's just chilling to think how soon Kestra began her work, and how helpless Deanna was to protect her firstborn. This was a really enjoyable read - thank you for sharing!

    1. Thank you!! I love the (cheesy) horror episodes of TNG, and just horror in general, so I was excited to do this one XD I got the idea from one of those AO3 tag generators. It gave me something like "drowning, nightmares" etc. Really made it easy for me, the story basically fell into my hands.
