This is so delicately done. And now I wonder what the Klingon stance on adultery is, because Martok implies that it's accepted between warriors who fight together and become close. And also, now I'm wondering how much of the Klingon traditional gendered sexuality ("Males read love poetry, women throw things") affects this--if gentleness is what warriors on campaign most need, and men are more likely to be warriors, so that informs their sexual behavior. Whatever the cultural worldbuilding implications are, I'm glad they got to take comfort in one another and provide care in a place where they both so desperately needed it.
