It's a really interesting meditation on what it must be like to be a host. I would think that on Trill it would be both harder and easier. Harder, because there would be so much more to remind you of previous lives (Dax would be much more likely to run into people a previous host met, for example), but easier because people would be more likely to understand because they're more used to thinking about symbiotes and it's part of the culture. I bet there are all kinds of stories and media about stuff like that.
ooooh, yes! Can you imagine what Trill fairytales would be like? That would be soooo interesting to explore the underpinnings of myth and folklore in Trill society...
It would be fascinating to explore. I wonder what other taboos they have besides reassociation? There have to be some! And what's the spiritual aspect of joining? Do Trill believe in, like, souls? Or do they believe memory is the important thing?
