It's still early in this series, so we're getting quite a bit of exposition, and explanations of who these people they didn't even know existed. I suppose it's a bit tougher on the Mass Effect-verse folks. Although both sides have pretty cool tech, Trek tech probably feels just a little bit more like magic. Especially those super-handy transporters.
But we hand the chapter on a real twist. Holy Cow. I'm not yet sure what this means but with the Illusive Man involved, nothing is off the table.

Sorry for the late reply, but things have been very busy for me recently. I had a procedure on the 18th (thankfully non-invasive) and now we're in finals week and I've landed an interim full time year round contract starting in a couple of weeks so I've got to go through new employee orientation--even though I've been there for 15 yrs. now. Got to jump through the hoops.
While ST tech is far more advanced, the ME universe has some bargaining room though: element zero, mass effect relays, medigel, and a few other things. Also, the bad guys (and good guys) are learning and as you'll see later on, the Illusive Man has some help. A big thing to keep in mind is that there's more to what's going on here than the obvious...
