What is Ad Astra?
Ad Astra is both a fanfiction archive and a community. Started in early 2009, and running on eFiction, the site grew steadily until the issues of working with eFiction (long abandoned) started making the archive inaccessible to some people around 2021. Now, the original Ad Astra site is going to become a permanent static archive and this site you're on now is the current one, running on otw-archive, the same thing Archive of Our Own runs on.

In addition to the archive here, we also have forums and a Discord server! While the archive isn't really the easiest place to socialize, we absolutely have options for people to do so. The forums require a separate registration from the archive for security reasons, but we'd love to see you there.
Who pays for this? Are there ever gonna be ads?
Ad Astra has adopted a Patreon support model! If you like this archive and wish to help defray the monthly costs, please visit Our Patreon Page and sign up! Monthly tiers begin at $5 a month and you can earn exclusive Ad Astra swag as a perk! Beyond this, mostly, MDGarcia and I (SLWalker) pay for Ad Astra. But for sure no, there will never be ads on Ad Astra.
