Summary
“My dear—Doctor Bashir,” Garak begins. “I don’t wish to offend you, and I certainly never intended to mislead you.”
“Really.” Julian’s voice is tight now. “Really.”
“I have never—desired a more intimate relationship with you.”
“Five years of lunches and holosuite dates and book recommendations and that fitting today, when you had me undress so that you could put your hands all over me, and you never intended to mislead me.”

Summary
If there is one thing in the galaxy that could intrigue Garak, it is a Starfleet officer with a secret buried so deeply that it has to be hidden beneath a persona as over-the-top as that of Julian Bashir. And, from that day on, Garak devotes himself to discovering it.
Or at least, he means to. Somewhere along the way, during those lunches that are meant to seem like friendly trivialities to cover subtle investigation, Garak finds that he’s rather more interested in the content of what Julian says—the ridiculous opinions he professes about literature and music and art, the sudden gushing explanations of his latest research project and the progress he’s made, or can’t seem to make, the open declarations he makes about Federation politics—and rather less interested in discovering whatever that façade is for.

Summary
An anomaly sends Miles back in time to 1902, the day that Sean O'Brien is due to turn up dead in the Allegheny River.
---
Miles steps up to the pulpit and clears his throat. His eye is swollen shut, his lip thick, and he must look a right sight. He’s never been one for speeches, but he’s supposed to be Sean, at least for a few minutes more. “I don’t know what you all heard,” he says, and he tries to grin, “but I’m very much alive.”

Summary
There are two well-established rules about ‘personal’ holodeck programs, which is Starfleet’s euphemistic name for ‘sexual or pornographic.’ First, a personal program should never include the likeness of another crew member without explicit permission. And second, no one should ever examine someone else’s personal program. The two rules sometimes run headlong into each other.
----
Janeway discovers that Chakotay has programmed her likeness into a particular holodeck program and...joins him. Things devolve from there.

B’Elanna clears her throat. Engineering is deserted around them. “Captain. If I said that you seemed attached to a—tall black-haired man with dimples, a tattoo, and a history as a freedom fighter—”
Kathryn inhales very slowly, because otherwise she’ll have to laugh hysterically at herself. “You know,” she says distantly, “Michael wasn’t even like that, originally. I reprogrammed him.”

Bones arrives the next morning while Jim and Sam are arguing over where the other beds should go—“I told you it was a stupid idea, having it here,” Sam yells, and Jim yells back, “Okay, you were right, what the fuck do you want me to do about it now.” Gaila is sitting out on the front porch drinking coffee, and when Bones shows up, she grabs him and pulls him down onto the porch next to her.
“You have to save me,” she hisses. “You missed the first three days of this, you traitor—”

Summary
B’Elanna gets rid of her soul-mark the day she realizes that her father is never coming back. It’s common among Klingon warriors—a soul-mark is a dangerous thing to bear openly. But she can’t stand the way that her classmates at her Federation school look at her, the way they mock her when it wavers between two different marks. “I guess a half-breed can’t have a real soulmate,” they say. “Maybe that’s why her father left, he couldn’t stand the shame.”

Jim realizes that, with his head tilted down like this, his mark is fully exposed to Spock. “So. I guess it looks familiar,” he says. Spock doesn’t answer. “Or you’re struck dumb because you’ve just never seen such a crummy soul-mark like that before.”
“I am already betrothed,” Spock says stiffly. “Vulcans do not place the same significance on such a marking as humans do.”
