Spock walked to the gravesite of his mother. How long has it been since he last saw her? He has just learned about her death. The human part of him feel guilty that he was off world when she died. It was at this time, that Sarek arrived.
“I see that you have come, Spock. Don’t blame yourself. You couldn’t have known. It caught me off guard too,” said Sarek.
“You once told me that marrying my mother was the logical thing to do,” said Spock.
“Your mother once kept me from dying when she gave her body to me. I knew that I has to marry her after her actions You wouldn’t be born if I didn’t marry her,” explained Sarek. He thought about the years that he spend with Amanda. He thought about the joys and pain that they went though. He knew that he would be dead and Spock not getting born if she didn’t give her body to him. He would be dead by ponfarr by now.
“Time for your thoughts,” said Spock. Sarek’s mind snapped back to the present.
“I was thinking about your mother and the time we have together. I know that it’s not logical, but I can’t help it. I know that I have a few years left before the ponfarr take me over. I hope that there will be a woman who will give her body to me as your mother did,” said Sarek. Then, he walked away, leaving Spock alone with his own thoughts. The end, for now.
