Daniels watches as the young Midshipman—barely out of the Academy—drops herself into the command chair. Sinclair’s wide eyes follow Lieutenant Lincolnton as she is carried below, unconscious.
A memory sparks in Daniels’ head. A memory that hasn’t happened yet in this timeline.
A memory of great deeds from older versions of these two women. He brings his mind to the present, wondering if he’ll survive this timeline.
He looks at the readout on the attacking deuterium carrier.
He smiles as he sees the name of the ship model.
The Kovich 2100.
He files that for later.
Much later.
