Singularity and a Singular Life

A missing scene that hasn’t quite happened yet. A prelude.

Work Text:

Chandra looks at the multicolored glow of the remnants of the explosion. Her XO, Morgan McMurtry stands next to her. The bridge crew rejoices at the destruction of the enemy fleet in the explosion.

“Have we created a singularity?” Morgan wonders.

She shakes her head, then looks back at the science station. Daronex stares blankly at the light, too. “I don’t know. All I know is that it was at high cost.”

Both stare down at the space before the helm console. Decker Sinclair rocks back and forth, holding the body of a young man.

The price for that beauty.
