The U.S.S. Enterprise was flying though space. Its captain, Chris Pike was on duty at the time. Mister Spock was in the science section at the time. He was checking his findings. It doesn’t make sense to him. Most of the crew has misty eyes. Doctor M’Benga has checked them out. They were fine, except for their eyes. What puzzled Spock about this mystery, was that all of the crew people affected happened to be humans.
Doctor M’Benga was working on the treatment for the misty eyes. It was not a mundane disease. If he didn’t know better, he could say that the affected crew was becoming ghostly. He didn’t like it. It was getting close to Halloween on Earth. He looked at the treatment. He remembered that an alien doctor in a previous Enterprise has created a cure for a disease that was like the recent one. He hoped to find that cure.
Pike walked into sickbay. He wasn’t feeling as usual. Doctor M’Benga smiled when he saw him. Pike was getting misty eyes, like most of his human crew. Now, he can see if his just created antidote will work. He pressed the antidote into his right arm after rolling his sleeves. Then, Pike’s eyes returned to normal. The cobwebs in his mind have vanished. The antidote has worked. As a result, Doctor M’Benga used it on the other human crew people. They were cured of that disease, as the Enterprise continued in its mission. The end, for now.
